Starting September 1 until September 30, you can head to the HSMA September Online Sale website and get loads of discounts on travel, dining, and relaxation packages from over 85 participating hotels and resorts all over the Philippines including The Farm at San Benito, Summit Ridge Tagaytay, Misibis Bay Resort, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan Cebu and more. Digital travel means smarter travel”), Inclusivity (“Engage in community-based tourism that empowers locals and celebrates diversity”), and Health and Wellness (“Find rejuvenating experiences that enhance well-being. Travel that heals”). Japson added, “Join us in shaping the future of tourism: sustainable, tech-savvy, inclusive, and health-focused.”
As part of the event’s digitization efforts, attendees are encouraged to register and pay for their tickets to the travel mart online as they will be using electronic ticketing. Pre-selling ticket price is at PHP80, with on-site ticket prices at PHP100 (corresponding discounts for seniors, students, and PWD will apply). There will also be onsite registration, which attendees can do even while in line, for QR entry scanning.
At the event, exhibitors will offer seamless, cashless payment, some even with installment options. The Philippines’ longest-running travel fair, the Philippine Travel Mart (PTM), returns on 6 September with more exhibitors and competitively-priced tour packages to entice the travelling public.
Organised by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), the event runs until 8 September at Pasay City’s SMX Convention Centre.
As of press time, at least 300 exhibitors will be in attendance, the largest number of attendees since the pandemic hit.
PHILTOA president Arjun Shroff said: “The PTM has grown to be the biggest travel fair with a focus on local destinations, identifying and uplifting new and emerging destinations.
“Last year we had Misamis Occidental, Marinduque, and Spratly Islands as our new localities to showcase their destinations. This year we will hype biodiversity in lesser known places.”Time for Next Generation Tourism
This year’s PTM also aims to showcase how the Philippine travel sector is ready to embrace Next Generation (NextGen) Tourism as the future of travel.
